discovery channel animals 2016 "This is genuine long distance nation", cautioned our aide, who could have gone for Crocodile Dundee. "You're taking a gander at the croc's lounge area. Swim in that stream and you're gone!"

Truth is, all the tidal streams and estuaries in Northern Australia are swarmed with these ancient man eaters or "salties".

Here are 3 of the best visits, beginning in Darwin, capital of the Northern Territory, to see these animals in their characteristic living space.

Yet, be cautioned. This is wild, outback wild nation. A definitive in enterprise travel.

Absolutely never attempt to investigate these risky ranges all alone. These are wild animals and despite the fact that you will be unable to see them, they can see you! There have been numerous instances of individuals outdoors or strolling on waterway banks in Northern Australia and strangely "vanishing".

1. Jumping Crocodile Cruise.

This journey happens on the Adelaide River, a hour's drive from Darwin. The crocs are in their normal living space and numerous are prepared to take after the journey watercraft and hop out of the water to snatch bits of chicken enticingly dangled on string.

These activities make incredible photographs, yet I observed it to be somewhat manufactured and touristy. There are however numerous chances to see these 4 meter creatures lounging on the waterway banks, watching us and envisioning that one of us may fall over the edge.

My recommendation is to take this voyage as a feature of a day outing to Litchfield Park. I adored this spot. It has 3 grand waterfalls, streaming year round and one of the falls, Florence Falls has a sublime swimming range where you can really swim under the falls. It is set amidst a flawless downpour woods and yes it is without crocodile!

2. Kakadu National Park. Yellow Water Billabong.

You should permit no less than 2 days to appreciate and investigate this astounding wild zone. Set in the heart of the national stop, the Yellow Water Billabong is home to crocodiles, as well as a tremendous assortment of winged creatures, including the heavenly Jabiru.

The crocodiles here are not prepared and you need to look deliberately to discover them. On the day I went to, we were compensated with numerous sightings. Some were lying on the edge of the water and others were swimming. A couple were more than 5 meters in length yet their size is beguiling when they swim. All you see is their eyes, parts of their textured back and gradually moving tail.
